
Robin Alexander joined the MBC staff as head Baker and Production Manager
in April of 2003.
Robin, born and raised in San Francisco, became interested in artisan breads
while working at Chez Panisse in Berkeley. From there, he worked for several
of the top bay area artisan bread companies before moving to New York City.
There, he was able to expand his knowledge and skills with several well-respected
bakeries in Manhattan. As Head Baker, Robin brings the dedication and intellect
needed to maintain the high standards Metropolis customers have come to expect.
We are looking forward to the new products Robin will be rolling out in the
future.
Flora Melendez as Administration Director brings a deep dedication to making sure all information is accurate and timely.

Metropolis Baking Company bakes bread with old-fashioned, old-world values

only the finest flours, ingredients and processes available. We take longer
to make
breads, letting the flavors of the flours fully develop before baking. We
are also very
proud of the ingredients that are not in our breads:
